ToursCR is an affiliate of Viator. When you book a tour after following a link from this site, we earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would pay going to Viator directly.

What that does influence

It’s the reason this site exists and the only way it’s funded. Every tour listed here is one that can be booked through Viator - we don’t list operators we can’t earn from, and you should know that when judging our coverage. Costa Rica has excellent local operators who sell direct and don’t appear here.

What it doesn’t influence

Our ordering. Tours are ranked by traveler rating weighted by review volume - the same formula for every product, with no commission weighting and no paid placement. A high-commission tour with weak reviews ranks below a low-commission one with strong reviews, and we have no mechanism to change that.

Nor does it influence what we tell you about a tour. We don’t use countdown timers, invented scarcity, or “only 2 left” badges. Where our data is incomplete, we say so on the page rather than filling the space with something more persuasive.

About the prices

Prices shown are Viator’s lowest available “from” price at the time of our last synchronization. They are not quotes. Your actual price depends on your dates, party size, and the option you choose, and it may have changed since we synced. Always confirm on the Viator booking page before paying.

About the ratings

Star ratings and review counts are third-party aggregates supplied by Viator, drawn from Viator and Tripadvisor travelers. ToursCR does not collect reviews, and we never present these as our own. Roughly a third of the catalog has no reviews at all; for those tours we show no rating rather than an implied one.

ToursCR is an independent publisher. We are not Viator, not affiliated with the Costa Rica Tourism Board, and not owned by any tour operator.
