  • Passengers must arrive at the domestic terminal at Juan Santamaría International Airport. The airline operating the flight is Sansa. Please note that the transfer from San José hotels to the domestic terminal is not included, therefore passengers must make their own way to the terminal.
  • Passengers must be at the terminal one hour prior to departure for check-in.
  • We will inform Botanika Hotel of the arrival time and the hotel staff will be waiting for the passengers on the airstrip with a sign displaying their name.
  • The transfer takes approximately 3 mins, as the hotel is located very close to the domestic terminal in Puerto Jiménez.
  • At departure the hotel will transfer the passengers to the Puerto Jiménez airstrip one hour before the flight and our services will conclude upon arrival in San José.
  • This is a low-impact, safari-style tour conducted primarily from a comfortable vehicle with short stops for observation and photography. Walking is minimal and on mostly flat terrain, making the experience ideal for travelers of all ages and fitness levels, including families and first-time visitors.
  • Domestic flights operate under specific baggage regulations. Each passenger is allowed: One carry-on bag (up to 10 lbs / 4.5 kg), one checked bag (up to 30 lbs / 13.6 kg). Excess or overweight luggage may incur additional fees and is subject to availability. Soft-sided luggage is strongly recommended for domestic flights.
  • When traveling to the Osa Peninsula, pack lightweight clothing, closed walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and rain protection. Respect wildlife at all times, keep a safe distance, and follow your guide’s instructions, stay on marked trails, and use eco-friendly products when swimming near natural areas. to help preserve this fragile ecosystem.
  • When traveling to Costa Rica, it’s important to be prepared for diverse microclimates, as conditions range from warm and humid lowlands to cool, misty highlands.
