About this experience

Discover the wild heart of Sirena Ranger Station with a highly experienced team dedicated to nature and personalized service. At Corcovado Info Center, our expert naturalist guides work with small groups of a maximum of 6 travelers per guide, This approach allows us to move quietly and strategically through the forest, increasing your chances of observing animals in their natural habitat. Explore Corcovado National Park on a guided hike of approximately 4 hours, led by expert naturalists specialized in flora and fauna identification. Discover monkeys, peccaries, exotic birds, reptiles, and—if you’re lucky—the incredible Baird’s tapir. Enjoy a lunch break at the ranger station before continuing your adventure. Just remember this is not a zoo, so every sighting is a unique gift from nature, enhanced by our experience and attention to detail. We can also reserve larger groups for families and group traveler.

Sirena Ranger Station

What you'll do

  1. The Sirena Park Ranger Station is situated in the heart of Corcovado National Park. Since this station is less accessible, there is greater opportunity to spot some of the rarest rainforest wildlife. Sirena rewards the more adventurous traveler with the true experience of what National Geographic Magazine has called “the most biological place in Earth¨. The tour begins with a 1 hour 15 transfer from Drake Bay to the Sirena Biological Station. Once there you will do a 4 hour leisurely walk along the paths around the entire station. On these trails you can usually see a vast array of wildlife including monkeys, birds, peccaries, coatis, sloths and hopefully the tapir. Then you walk back to the boat and depart for Drake Bay at 1:00-1:30 pm. Lunch is taken at the station(not included in the price)
