To explain a little about the thermal waters of the La Fortuna area, thermal waters call mineral waters that leave the ground with more than 5 ° C than surface temperature. These waters come from underground layers of the Earth that are at higher temperatures which are rich in different mineral components and allow them to use in the therapeutic as baths, inhalations, irrigation, and heating. They are usually found along magmatic fault lines since groundwater can be introduced and heated when it reaches a certain depth; from there, they then rise in the form of vapor (which can condense when it reaches the surface, forming a geyser) or hot water.
