During the tour, your guide will share fascinating information about the cloud forest and help you observe iconic species such as the Emerald Tucancillo, the majestic Shining Quetzal and hopefully spider monkeys, as well as enjoy breathtaking views of the Monteverde Mountains. Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve protects more than 5,000 hectares of tropical forest, including primary and secondary forest areas. This natural sanctuary is home to many unique species that you can discover during a guided tour with an expert naturalist guide.

To enter the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, proceed to the official parking lot and validate your entrance at reception. Then you will take internal transportation to the trails. We recommend purchasing the ticket online as “Heart of the Forest” and arriving 20 minutes before the tour.
