   The itinerary begins at Arenal Observatory Lodge and Lake Arenal surrounding the forest area. This mid-elevation tropical region has some of the most impressive Birding habitats of the Country. This attraction is located by the western foothill of our active summit. Visitors will be able to appreciate a vast variety of avian species, such as Toucans, tanagers, trogons, hummingbirds, oropendolas, manakins, flycatchers, herons, egrets, kingfishers, birds of prey, and many more.
