  2. The Playa Ventanas beach caves are unique and impressive. They are located about 30 minutes from the uvita Waterfalls. These 2 caves are about 500 feet long and walking into them is quite an experience. The cave mouths are wide enough for a large vehicle to drive into, so one does not feel claustrophobic. One can body surf the waves in the caves when the tide is right for it. The beach next to the caves is beautiful and the waves are not to rough. We can spend some time in the ocean or on the beach after we experience the caves.

  3. The Portalon waterfalls are a great place to swim and a little low cliff jumping. The river is easily accessible and the water is refreshing. It is located in the middle of the Costa Rican rain forest.
